As the co-CIO of Crescent Grove Advisors, a $4.8bn family office based in Lake Forest, Ill., Andrew Krei has grown disenchanted by the large funds that have entered into the alternatives space.
‘Arguably, there are benefits to scale for these managers, but we tend to gravitate towards smaller funds,’ Krei said.
According to Krei, his philosophy within alternatives has changed over the years, partly because of large managers dominating the alts space and raising ‘really large funds.’
